Admission Requirements
Admission to the master's programme Mechanical Engineering is restricted. The admission requirements are also stated in the
examination regulations (including amendments) of the study programme.
Admission is conditional on
- the successful completion of one of the following bachelor's programmes at the Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering at Hochschule Düsseldorf – University of Applied Sciences: Mechanical Engineering – Product Development, Mechanical Engineering –Production Technology, Energy and Environmental Technology, Environmental and Process Technology or
- a comparable bachelor's degree or Diplom
with a final overall grade of 2.5 (according to the German grading system) or better.
Alternatively, we accept an equivalent grade according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
Please note: We usually have a lot more applicants than study places. This means that even if you meet all admission requirements, you might not be admitted to the programme.
Language requirements
German language requirements
You do not need to speak German for admission to the study programme.
English language requirements
You must provide proof of English language proficiency of B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Application
The programme starts in the summer and winter semester. The usual application deadlines are 15 January (summer semester) and 15 July (winter semester).
